Northwest Pulmonology offers comprehensive treatment and diagnostic services for pulmonary diseases. As part of the award-winning family of services we work closely with Northwest Imaging and Sleep Center using state-of-the-art equipment including CT, PET, bronchoscopy and polysomnography (sleep studies). We also have strategic partnerships for other important services such as cardiology, thoracic surgery and oncology.

Kevin Strait, DO
Pulmonology
Dr. Kevin Strait is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in addition to being board certified in pulmonary disease. He specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases that affect the lungs and respiratory system.
Pulmonology is a medical field of study within internal medicine. Specialists in pulmonary disease must first complete a rigorous training in the field of internal medicine and spend several years in fellowship specifically studying pulmonology, which often includes critical care and sleep medicine. Board certification ensures the advancement of clinical knowledge and skills of a physician that can lead to improved patient outcomes and experiences. Board certification is also a commitment by the physician to continuous learning striving towards clinical excellence in the care of their patients.
Dr. Strait provides comprehensive care for a spectrum of pulmonary diseases such as asthma, bronchiectasis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung cancer, pneumonia, pulmonary fibrosis, and sarcoidosis.
Dr. Strait received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma, WA, in 1993. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree in 2001 from Midwestern University – Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, Glendale, followed by an internship and residency at the University of Minnesota, Department of Medicine. His fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care was also at the University of Minnesota.
